Simco-Ion, Technology is pleased to announce Carl Newberg’s promotion to Applications Engineering Manager on November 1, 2021. Carl joined Simco-Ion as Sr. Applications Engineer in 2016 as a member of our Worldwide Applications Engineering Team focused on Customer Support for product configuration and performance optimization for the many industries that we support.

Carl has a BS Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, an MS Degree in Materials Science, and a professional engineer’s license (Met. Eng.). He is one of the first to successfully test and receive certification from ESDA as a Certified ESD Program Manager. Carl has been an active member of the ESD Association since 1995, held many influential positions (i.e., Board Member, Technical Program Committee Chairman, Vice and General Chairman in various Symposiums, and many more) to help shape industry standards.

Carl will lead our Applications Engineering Team as we continue to enhance our worldwide leadership position in Ionization and Continuous Monitoring Products to help our Customers meet/exceed their performance expectations. The Team’s focus will remain on helping customers comply with industry standards and will continue to be a valuable technical resource to our worldwide sales efforts. Carl will report directly to me, and we congratulate his acceptance of this opportunity and know that he will be successful.
