Alameda, CA (July 2016):  Simco-Ion Technology Group announces that Jim Birt will be joining the ITW Electrostatics Division as their new Business Unit Manager.  Jim Birt lives in the San Francisco Bay area and will be based in Alameda, CA. 

Jim Birt was most recently the Vice President of Global Field Operations and Engineering at Sunpreme, a start- up in the solar industry. Prior to that, he was the VP of Global Operations at Intevac, a Santa Clara supplier to the hard disk drive industry.  He held various positions at Applied Materials for twelve years before that.

Jim Birt has headed business units in several of his past roles, and has had experience directing engineering, sales, marketing, production, service and other functions during his career.  He has a BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M.  Jim Birt will work with our managers globally to better understand our markets that are supported through the Sales Channel.
